| Evening | Peda and prasad shopping on Ram Path, then an early dinner. |
Ayodhya in 2 Days
Day 1 for darshan and the big temples. Day 2 for the ghats and the quieter side of Ayodhya.
Day 1: Darshan day
Follow the 1-day plan above: Hanuman Garhi, Ram Lalla, Kanak Bhawan, Dashrath Mahal, rest, and the Saryu aarti in the evening.
Day 2: Ghats and calm
- Sunrise: Guptar Ghat, the quietest ghat in Ayodhya.
- Morning: Treta Ke Thakur and Tulsi Smarak Bhawan near Naya Ghat.
- Afternoon: a second, relaxed darshan if you wish (1:35 PM onwards), or shopping on Ram Path.
- Evening: one last walk along the ghats, then head home.
Ayodhya in 3 Days
Take it slow. All of Ayodhya, plus a half-day trip to Bharat Kund in Nandigram.
- Day 1: arrive, settle in, and watch the Saryu aarti at Ram Ki Paidi.
- Day 2: the darshan day: Hanuman Garhi, Ram Lalla, Kanak Bhawan and Dashrath Mahal, with an afternoon rest.
- Day 3: morning at Guptar Ghat, then a half-day trip to Bharat Kund in Nandigram, where Bharat is believed to have ruled in Ram’s name during the exile.

Ayodhya Itinerary With Senior Citizens
Fewer stops, shorter walks, and rest every afternoon. Plan two days instead of one.
- Day 1 morning: Ram Lalla darshan on a weekday at 7 AM, with a Sugam pass booked in advance. Ask at the help desk for a wheelchair or e-cart.
- Day 1 afternoon: long rest at the hotel. Evening Saryu aarti from a spot near the edge of the crowd.
- Day 2 morning: Kanak Bhawan and Dashrath Mahal, both easy to reach. Visit Hanuman Garhi only if the 76 steps feel comfortable.
- Day 2 evening: a quiet sit at Guptar Ghat.

Ayodhya Itinerary With Kids
Short temple visits, a boat ride and the evening aarti, with breaks that keep little ones happy.
- Go early: darshan at 7 AM, before kids get tired and the queue gets long. Carry snacks for after (food isn’t allowed inside).
- Tell the story: share the Ramayana tale of each place before you visit. Kanak Bhawan and Dashrath Mahal make it come alive.
- Afternoon break: back to the hotel for lunch and a nap.
- Boat ride and aarti: kids love the Saryu boat ride and the lamps at the evening aarti. Keep them close in the crowd.
- Safety: write your phone number on a card in their pocket.
Weekend Trip to Ayodhya from Delhi
Leave on Friday night, spend two full days in Ayodhya, and be back for Monday.
- Friday night: take an overnight train from Delhi to Ayodhya Dham Junction, or an early Saturday flight. Options are on our Delhi to Ayodhya guide.
- Saturday: check in, rest, then the evening Saryu aarti at Ram Ki Paidi.
- Sunday: the full darshan day: Hanuman Garhi, Ram Lalla at 7 AM, Kanak Bhawan, Dashrath Mahal. Afternoon rest, then catch an evening train or flight home.
